Art Day

Stormwater Studios is participating in Columbia’s 32nd Annual Artista Vista. Join us for Art Day on Saturday, April 20 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. as we celebrate the arts in our community.

Find inspiration in our Native Pollinator Garden on Kinsler Creek. As a special presentation to honor one of our most esteemed donors, we will have a Butterfly Release at 11:30 a.m. along with some other creative surprises on the day.

Resident Artist,Stephen Chesley will have on display, “Sopwith Monarch” a full scale replica of a WWl Sopwith Camel upper wing painted as a monarch butterfly created as a memorial to  two indigenous natives of South America, Paulo Paulino Guajajara and Raul Hernandez Romero, who worked to protect monarch habitat and jungle areas, and also as a reminder of ongoing war with nature in this Anthropocene era.
