Call for Artist

WORKING ARTIST’S STUDIO AVAILABLE

One studio, available Monday, June 10, 2024.
Deadline for applications, Monday, May 20, 3:00 p.m.

• $450/month, plus refundable security deposit (one month’s rent) and studio insurance (approximately $300/year)
• 280 sq.ft.
• 14 ft. ceiling
• rolling glass garage door on the front of the Stormwater building. 

Resident artists requirements

• Staff the gallery 2-3 days a month, 11 a.m.- 3 p.m. Wed.-Sun.
• Participate in annual Artista Vista and Vista Lights group shows 
• Participate in Third Thursday extended hours
• Host one community project/year
• Regular attendance at monthly artists’ meetings
• Share group expenses for publicity and events
• Attend one-day annual retreat to review status of gallery/studios and plan ahead
• Serve as a member on at least one of several Resident Artist committees

We are looking for an accomplished artist in any medium to join us in one of Columbia’s premier studio and gallery spaces. We seek to diversify our group of artists to reflect the greater community in Columbia with an inclusive culture that supports diverse voices.

2. Samples of representative artwork (at least 5 digital images or your website address)
3. A brief statement (50-100 words) of how you intend to use the studio
