You still have time to experience the extraordinary work of Stormwater Studios Artist-in-Residence David Yaghjian, whose expressive paintings and imaginative sculptures are currently showcased in two solo exhibitions across South Carolina.

Partial Inventory is on view at the UPSTATE Gallery on Main at the Chapman Cultural Center, Spartanburg, through Saturday, December 6. Yaghjian presents a powerful collection of symbolically rich paintings that explore human nature, spirituality, and the universal threads connecting personal experience and collective meaning.

Acrobats is on exhibit at Mike Brown Contemporary in Columbia, South Carolina through Saturday, December 6. Join Yaghjian for an Artist Talk on Saturday, November 15. In Acrobats, Yaghjian’s playful and technically masterful sculptures—crafted primarily from cardboard—take center stage. These inventive works capture transformation, motion, and the spirited joy that defines Yaghjian’s creative practice.

Together, these exhibitions highlight Yaghjian’s versatility as both painter and sculptor, and his ongoing exploration of humanity, energy, and the boundless possibilities of artistic play.
