Stormwater Studios welcomes exhibition proposals from artists working in a variety of media. As a nonprofit arts organization, we are committed to presenting exhibitions that inspire conversation, celebrate creativity, and connect artists with the community.

Our gallery hosts solo, group, and collaborative exhibitions throughout the year, providing emerging and established artists with the opportunity to exhibit their work in a professional gallery setting. Through opening receptions, artist talks, and special events, exhibitions at Stormwater Studios encourage meaningful engagement between artists and the public.

Located in Columbia’s Congaree Vista District, our gallery offers a flexible event space surrounded by rotating exhibitions from local and regional artists. Inside, you’ll find an open gallery with professional lighting, adaptable exhibition walls, and a fully equipped kitchen. Outdoors, our patio and native plant garden create an inviting atmosphere for gatherings of all kinds.

Guests can also explore our vibrant campus, home to resident artists and neighboring artisan businesses, making every event an experience beyond the gallery walls.

Become a Stormwater Studios Volunteer

Volunteers play an essential role in making Stormwater Studios a welcoming and vibrant destination for artists and visitors alike. Whether you’re greeting guests at an exhibition, assisting during an opening reception, or helping behind the scenes at one of our community events, your time and talents help create meaningful experiences for everyone who walks through our doors.

We offer a variety of volunteer opportunities throughout the year, including:

Volunteer in the Pollinator Garden

Enjoy spending time outdoors? Help care for Stormwater Studios’ native plant and pollinator garden.

Working alongside garden designer Karen Murphy Rhu, garden volunteers assist with planting, watering, weeding, and seasonal maintenance while learning about the importance of native plants and the pollinators they support.

Whether you have years of gardening experience or simply want to spend time outdoors while giving back to the community, we’d love to have you join us.
