September Events 2026
Bobbi Sorensen Solo Exhibition

Bobbi Sorensen is an award-winning visual artist living in Columbia, SC. Working across a range of wet media, she paints people in both non-traditional and formal poses, as well as landscapes and water scenes.
Bobbi began studying art in College in Los Angeles in the 1960s, earned an art degree from the University of Maryland, and a master’s degree from George Washington University. She worked for five years on the US Senate Labor Committee, as a registered lobbyist, and association executive for several health-related organizations.
She finished out her career as Executive Director of the Washington Center for Psychoanalysis, a training institute affiliated with George Washington University. During these years, she limited herself to doing occasional commissions and charcoal portraits.
Bobbi credits her move to SC in 2014 for stimulating her interrupted creative growth. A member of several arts associations, she became an active member of the Crooked Creek Art League, where she served on the Board and in several leadership roles, including Chair of several Exhibitions and Juried Shows.
