Draw, Paint & Connect with the About Face Drawing Group at Stormwater Studios

Join About Face Drawing Group for an inspiring evening of creativity on Monday, October 5 & 19, from 6:30–9:00 p.m. at Stormwater Studios!

Each session features two live models—one for figure drawing and one for portrait work—offering a rare opportunity to sharpen your skills, explore new techniques, and work from life in a supportive, creative environment.

Whether you’re a seasoned artist or just getting started, everyone is welcome. Bring your favorite materials—sketchbooks, paints, brushes, or easels—and settle in for a relaxed, energizing night of making art alongside fellow creatives.

Admission is $15, and first-time participants attend for free! Students receive a $4 discount with a valid student ID, making admission just $11!

Riding Out the Storm by Salley McInerney

Riding Out the Storm is an unflinching visual and literary exhibition chronicling artist and writer Salley McInerney’s journey through bladder cancer and divorce. With a collection of 30 mixed-media works and corresponding storyboards, Salley explores a sudden diagnosis of bladder cancer, months of chemotherapy, grueling bladder removal surgery, a difficult physical and psychological recovery, and a most unforeseen consequence—the end of a 43-year marriage. Riding Out the Storm also chronicles Salley’s hard-won journey from profound loss to resilience of the human spirit and the reinvention of the individual self.

Exhibition Dates: Wednesday, October 7, 2026, to Sunday, October 18, 2026

Opening Reception: Thursday, October 8, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Michael Cassidy, Stephen Chesley, and  Mike Williams  – Group Exhibition 

This fall, Stormwater Studios will present an exhibition featuring Michael Cassidy, Stephen Chesley, and Mike Williams. All four are well-established artists, each with a long legacy of painting and artistic expression rooted in life experiences and grounded in philosophical narratives. Visitors can expect a compelling exhibition showcasing excellence in both painting and message.
