Unleash Your Creativity with About Face Group – Monday, May 5 & 19!

Join the About Face Group on Monday, May 5 and 19, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Stormwater Studios for an inspiring evening of life drawing and painting. The session features two live models—one figure model and one portrait model—giving you the perfect opportunity to elevate your artistic skills in a supportive, creative environment. Whether you’re an experienced artist or just starting out, this session is ideal for all skill levels.

Bring your sketch pad, drawing or painting supplies, and even your own easel if you prefer. Participation is only $10, and first-time attendees can join for free! Earlier Works, 1971 to 2016 by Patrick Mahoney

Earlier Works, 1971 to 2016 at Stormwater Studios presents a collection of drawings, paintings, and constructions by Patrick Mahoney, tracing the evolution of his artistic practice over four decades. This exhibition showcases a range of works, from an egg tempera painting created in 1971 to a striking photorealist oil painting completed in 2016. Through a diverse selection of media and techniques, Mahoney’s work captures a dynamic artistic journey, offering insight into his creative development and experimentation over the years.

The exhibition dates are Wednesday, Mary 14 to Sunday, May 18 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Join him for the opening reception on Thursday, May 15 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. to celebrate this retrospective of Mahoney’s earlier works.

Discover the fascinating world of birds and pollinators in the Stormwater Garden during this engaging event led by Resident Artist Stephen Chesley and Gardener Karen Murphy. Together, they will explore the rich insect and bird life thriving in the garden.

Stephen Chesley will also reveal his techniques for capturing stunning close-up photos of flowers and pollinators. Bring your camera or smartphone to join in! Guests will have the chance to explore the gardens and nature trail, capturing their own photos while soaking in the beauty of nature.
