Laurie McIntosh – Street Gallery 4

Vista Studio Artist, Laurie McIntosh, was selected for the Cultural Council of Richland and Lexington County’s Street Gallery 4 project. Street Gallery 4 is a partnership between the Cultural Council and Lamar Advertising that showcases local artists on outdoor billboards throughout Richland and Lexington Counties. The billboards will be on display throughout the city beginning Friday, February 3rd and will rotate to various locations during the two-year exhibition. 

McIntosh’s piece, The Gravity of the Situation, is a narrative work created with oil pastel on paper. By dividing the area in three parts she gives the viewer a sequence of related images hoping they wonder and discuss what is happening, thus making it their own story. 

At present this billboard can be seen driving north on  I-77, 1 mile past the Garners Ferry Exit.
