Introducing the USC School of Visual Art and Design Artists in Residence

From September 1, 2024, to March 31, 2025, the University of South Carolina’s Stormwater Collaborative Residency will host seven talented individuals. This residency will include three undergraduate student artists, an art historian, an art educator, and a graphic designer, all sharing a studio space for one academic year.
The residency will culminate in a collaborative exhibition from March 25 to March 30, 2025. The art historian will curate the exhibition and draft the wall text, while the art educator will plan up to three public workshops, and the graphic designer will create promotional materials and signage. This program emphasizes collaboration, allowing artists and scholars to develop a shared creative vision, expand their practice, build their professional network, and gain valuable experience beyond the classroom.
