Introducing Quincy Pugh: Celebrating Art and Community
We’re thrilled to welcome Quincy Pugh as our newest resident artist at Stormwater Studios! With a background in fine arts and community engagement, Quincy brings a wealth of experience and passion to our artistic community.
Quincy Pugh holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art from Augusta University and a Master of Librarianship from the University of South Carolina. Previously, he served as the Film and Sound Manager at Richland Library where he curated exhibitions and collaborated with artists on a local, regional, and national level.
Since retiring in 2018, Quincy has focused on creating a compelling body of work that explores themes of courage, beauty, identity, and social justice within the context of Black southern culture. Using oil and acrylic paints, often in combination, his art reflects his deep connection to community and nature, as well as his passion for abstract expressionism and photography.
Quincy Pugh’s work not only captures the essence of his subjects but also offers a profound reflection on patriotism, culture, and the complexities of our times. We invite you to explore his art and celebrate his talent and contributions to our vibrant artistic community at Stormwater Studios.
