Rites of Spring: Endurance  

An Art Exhibition shining light on the resilience and fortitude found  within the human spirit. 

April 12 – 24. Stormwater Studios’ 10 resident artists present their  annual spring exhibition. 

Friday April 22.  Reception  + Open Studios 5pm – 8pm. Meet the artists, ask questions and celebrate their  work during the 30th Vista Guild’s Annual Art Crawl.

Saturday, April 23. Art Day. Experience the arts: Artist  demonstrations. Try your hand at gestural sketching, inspired by  dancers moving slowly through space. Learn the art of creating  a mandala and much more. Enliven your Saturday with art,  music, food & beverage trucks along with other other family  friendly activities . 10am – 3pm

Artists create visuals to encourage us to experience life with curiosity  and awe. They use a silent language that stretches us to imagine,  perhaps see things we’ve missed, and understand challenging  happenings differently. 

This exhibition, Rites of Spring: Endurance, explores themes of renewal  during times of prolonged hardships. Spring revitalizes our senses and  many times renews our outlook on life, while ushering in the  acknowledgement of the gift of endurance. Our remarkable ability to  withstand prolonged hardships continues to sustain and inspire an  enthusiasm for the ephemeral nature of life. For this 30th Annual Artista 

Vista, Stormwater’s ten resident artists are featuring, not only a stunning  thought provoking group show, but a chance for the public to visit their  studios and experience art during Art Day. 

Stormwater Studios is Columbia’s newest, most vibrant artist  community as well as the only working artist’s studios in The Vista. Stormwater Studios provides studio space to 10 artists and gallery  space to community artists, as well as an off-campus site for the USC  School of Visual Art and Design (SVAD). It is the art destination for the  City of Columbia.
