Noche de Luna Presented by Palmetto Luna Arts

Join Palmetto Luna Arts for Third Thursday in the Vista at Stormwater Studios on Thursday, October 16, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. to view selections from The Palmetto Luna Art Collection. This special preview will feature works donated by Latino artists for the upcoming Noche de Luna Fundraiser. Guests will also have the opportunity to purchase fundraiser tickets in advance and be among the first to buy Palmetto Luna t-shirts designed by Alejandro Garcia-Lemos and Ivan Segura. Attendees can learn more about Palmetto Luna’s mission and community impact while connecting with artists and board members.

The Noche de Luna Fundraiser will take place the following evening, Friday, October 17, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., at Stormwater Studios. Guests are invited to dress in festive attire and enjoy an unforgettable evening of live music by Caribe Latin Sound, delicious food and drinks, and a vibrant celebration of Latino art, culture, and community. The evening will also feature an exhibition of works from The Palmetto Luna Art Collection, a silent auction of pieces donated by Latino artists, and the debut of Palmetto Luna’s new t-shirts created by Alejandro Garcia-Lemos and Ivan Segura. All proceeds from the event benefit Palmetto Luna Arts. Since 2008, the organization has worked to uplift Latino artists and voices in South Carolina through workshops, exhibitions, and commissioned works of art.

What began as a small effort to preserve and celebrate Latinx culture through the arts has grown into 17 years of community impact across South Carolina. Today, Palmetto Luna is a space where artists, families, and youth connect through art and culture, and with continued community support, they will carry this work forward for years to come.

Stormwater Studios is located at 413 Pendleton Street in Columbia’s Vista District. Both events are open to the public
