Laura Spong: The Tribute Exhibition

Laura Miles Spong passed away peacefully on Monday, August 13, 2018. She was among SC’s most prominent non-objective abstract expressionist painters and was awarded the Elizabeth O’Neill Verner Award for Lifetime Achievement in 2017. The City of Columbia proclaimed September 5, 2017 to be Laura Spong Day. Laura’s passion for art wrapped its arms around all who were lucky enough to have known her.
