Cathy Love / Of a Feather- POSTPONED – NEW DATES TO BE ANNOUNCED

It really shouldn’t be a surprise that Cathy Love’s latest solo show “Of a Feather” features feathered friends including eagles, hawks and owls. Growing up on Eastbrook Road, her family’s home was adorned with owls whether it was a needlepoint one by her grandmother, or beautiful crystal owls given to her mother by her father.
The owls and other subjects featured in Love’s oil paintings were derived from residents of the Birds of Prey Center in Awendaw, Riverbanks Zoo and the Cotswolds Falconry Centre in England. Of course there will be a few of her own backyard friends in Columbia, where on a sunny day she has counted as many as 21 Cardinals. Rumor has it she might barter a small painting for bird seed to supply her habit!
It all comes full circle the week of April 29 – May 4 in a collection of things she loves, and hopes you will too. Please join other art birds “Of a Feather” at a gallery reception Wednesday, April 29, 5-8 p.m.
