Celebrating Stormwater Studios Resident Artists

Eileen Blyth

Resident artist, Elieen Blyth’s work was to grace the program cover 2024 Southeastern Piano Festival!
The Arthur Fraser International Piano Competition turned the University of South Carolina School of Music and the city of Columbia into a vibrant cultural hub, attracting audiences and talented young pianists from all corners of the United States this June.
Eileen Blyth’s artwork enhanced the visual appeal of this festival. We congratulate Eileen!
Gerard Erley

Our resident artist, Gerard Erley, made a significant impact at ArtFields this year. Gerard not only exhibited his talent at the main competition in Lake City, SC but also served as a juror for the Portrait Contest alongside Lyudmila Tomov and Kirkland Smith, resident artist at Stormwater Studios. He also participated in the Evening Wine Walk at Moore Farms Botanical Garden, painting alongside fellow artists.
During the Plein Air Competition later in the festival, Gerard chose a unique subject—an abandoned shack across a lot—and despite challenges like rain, he persevered and impressed the jurors. We are thrilled to announce that Gerard Erley received First Place for his outstanding painting, praised by renowned artist and juror Anne Hightower-Patterson for its captivating presence.
Congratulations, Gerard, on these remarkable achievements!
